Defence Tool Kit & Transport Case Solutions
Supporting Mission Readiness Across Land, Sea, and Air
In defence environments, asset control is critical to safety, operational readiness, and mission success. Tools and equipment must be accounted for at all times, protected against extreme conditions, and deployable across rapidly changing operational settings.
OSAAP Australia works with all branches of the Australian Defence Force as well as defence contractors supporting military operations. We design and manufacture custom foam shadow boards and backer boards, apply precision laser tool etching, and supply Pelican transport cases. Together, these solutions support secure, mobile, and highly accountable tool kit and asset management in demanding defence environments.

Compliance and Defence Standards
OSAAP Australia’s products meet recognised military and defence packaging standards, including:
- MODUK DEF STAN 81-116 (Military-grade packaging)
- DEF(AUST) 1000 (ADF packaging standard)
OSAAP Australia is also listed on the Queensland Defence Industries Capability Directory, recognising our specialist capabilities in supporting defence, maritime, and aerospace sectors.
Our foam is crafted to meet the unique requirements of defence operations: nitrogen-infused, non-leaching, ESD-protective, and capable of safely cradling weapons or missiles.
In addition, precision laser etching provides permanent asset identification, serialisation, and branding options, supporting both traceability and quality control.

Asset Management Challenges in Defence Operations
Lost Equipment and FOD Risks
Lost or misplaced tools present serious risks in military applications. A single missing asset or loose object can disable vehicles, aircraft, or critical systems, leading to mission delays, grounded equipment, and potential safety incidents. Effective asset control is a primary Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention measure and is essential to maintaining operational safety.
Operating in Extreme and Changing Environments
Defence assets must perform reliably across air, sea, and land. Tool and asset control systems must withstand vibration, extreme temperatures, humidity, dust, sand, and mud, while remaining lightweight and portable. Traditional storage solutions often fail under these conditions, increasing the risk of damage and loss.
Accountability and Mission Readiness
Asset accountability is critical in defence operations. Missing equipment can result in safety incidents, missed deadlines, and compromised missions. Clear, consistent asset control directly supports mission readiness by ensuring equipment is available, functional, and accounted for when it is needed most.
How OSAAP Australia Supports Defence Teams
OSAAP Australia provides defence-ready tool and asset control using durable materials, custom design, and industry-approved packaging systems. Our solutions are engineered to improve accountability, reduce FOD risk, and protect critical assets in mobile and high-risk environments.
Pelican Cases for Military Mobility
As Platinum Pelican Dealers, OSAAP Australia supplies and configures Pelican cases specifically for defence operations. Pelican cases meet MIL-STD-810 and DEF STAN 81-41 standards and are designed for use in extreme environments. With an IP67 rating, they provide complete protection against dust and water immersion (up to 1 metre), making them ideal for land, maritime, and aviation applications.
Selected Pelican cases also meet DEF(AUST) 1000 certification, the Australian Defence Force standard for packaging.
When combined with our custom foam inserts, they deliver a lightweight, rugged, and deployable asset control solution.

Custom Foam Solutions for Specialised Defence Equipment and Tools
OSAAP Australia can design and manufacture custom foam layouts for specialised military equipment cases and toolkits of any size or complexity. Whether supporting vehicle systems, communications equipment, aviation assets, or emerging technologies, our solutions are tailored to the operational requirements of each application.
Our foam shadow boards and backer boards provide a clearly defined location for every asset, allowing personnel to immediately identify missing items. This improves accountability, reduces FOD risk, and supports fast inspections and checks before deployment.
Manufactured from durable, chemical-resistant foam, our shadow boards protect equipment from damage while maintaining long-term performance in harsh conditions.
Precision laser etching can be applied to permanently label tools and asset locations, supporting consistent identification across teams and deployments.
Digital Asset Management
Using the BlueMobile AUS app, clients can photograph and upload assets directly on site, enabling our design team to create precise custom foam layouts without removing equipment from operational environments.
These layouts are then managed and tracked through Blue Shadow® and Blue Manager software, providing full visibility, fast turnaround, and minimal disruption to day-to-day operations.
By combining mobile asset capture with digital project management, OSAAP ensures that every tool, kit, and asset is accurately accounted for, improving accountability, efficiency, and mission readiness in demanding defence environments.
Secure Handling of Classified Assets
OSAAP regularly works with clients managing classified or sensitive equipment and is experienced in operating under Non-Disclosure Agreements. For high-security requirements, clients may bypass physical imaging by supplying non-detailed 3D files that cannot be replicated or reverse-engineered.
Using these files, OSAAP can still design precise custom foam layouts without exposing sensitive asset details, ensuring security requirements are maintained throughout the process.
